Licenses and source availability
What BraveDay is built on, and how to request the corresponding source for the version running here.
BraveDay is a commercial product, developed and operated by its team. This page records the licensing that applies to the software behind it.
Platform core
The BraveDay core is derived from a codebase released under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3 (AGPLv3), and that licence continues to govern the released core. Copies previously published under AGPLv3 remain available under that licence. Nothing on this site changes, revokes, or narrows the rights the AGPLv3 grants you in those versions.
Requesting the corresponding source
If you interact with the BraveDay instance running on this site, AGPLv3 section 13 entitles you to the corresponding source for the AGPL-licensed portions of the version you are using. Email hello@ravefox.dev with the subject “AGPL source request” and we will provide it at no charge.
Commercial layer
A small hosted-infrastructure layer, including managed keys and other cloud-only operational code, is separately licensed and is not part of the AGPL-licensed core. It is not required to run the platform.
Implementation work
Work delivered under a BraveDay Business engagement — diagnostics, architecture, configuration, custom modules, integrations, data migration and support — is governed by the written agreement for that engagement. The agreement sets out ownership and licensing for the deliverables. Third-party components stay under their own licences.
Third-party components
The product bundles open-source dependencies under their respective licences, including MIT, Apache 2.0, BSD, and ISC. A current dependency licence inventory is available on request at hello@ravefox.dev.
Trademarks
The BraveDay name, the Beaver assistant name, and BraveDay logos and brand assets are not covered by any source-code licence and may not be used to imply endorsement or affiliation.
